Fitter us in the same morning! Staff were lovely and friendly, as always. The vet and assistant were so patient and great with our nervous cat! Thank you again x

Johanna was very gentle and caring with my dog. She gave good explanations and instructions.

Really friendly reception staff that are always helpful and polite, even over the phone if I have an enquiry. The consultations are always really helpful and the staff are great. (Portland Road)

I brought my dog to Acorn Veterinary Clinic with a rapidly growing lump along his jawline and visible swelling inside the cheek. The vet offered no clear diagnosis, performed no thorough oral examination, and gave no treatment or antibiotics — only gave anti inflammatory medication after me Insisting he needs it- despite clear signs of an underlying issue. Concerned, I sought a second opinion a day later. The new vet immediately diagnosed a clear abscess and started appropriate antibiotics and pain relief on the spot. They explained this could have been easily managed had it been caught sooner — but instead it was allowed to worsen unnecessarily. I’ve since decided to withdraw both of my dogs from Acorn Veterinary as I’ve lost trust in the clinic’s diagnostic process and overall care standards. Such a shame as we have been patients for 8 years. I hope this review encourages better diligence in the future and helps other pet owners make informed choices.

I visited Portland road surgery yesterday. I'm so glad I joined the pet club a few years ago because it's really great value for these tuff times. Most people are experiencing financial difficulties and your pet is so important. My dog Charlie is getting on like myself and yesterday was an eye opener for me as I love my dog very much I don't have children but he is my boy. I seen verity who is a lovely person but also a really good veterinarian. Very professional caring and knowledgeable. She explained about my dogs health going forward and as I no about joint pain my dog is going down the same road. So I recommend joining the pet club and acorn veterinary surgery are very good.
