Utterly disgusting service at this vets. They treated us with disrespect and no sympathy. They were neglectful and overlooked us. They did not care for our problems. While my animal was in care at this facility and had undergone tests to determine his disease. They told us the time period for which the results would arrive. It went weeks over this time period, in which my animal started to rapidly deteriorate. We called and begged everyday for them to give him medication necessary but they denied it. The receptionists denied this saying they didn’t have the authority to do so and would ask the vet. She never got back to us. They never gave my dog the necessary medication. And so we ended up going to a different Vet who IMMEDIATELY put him on medication and stated if we had gone to them in the first place they would’ve given us that medication. They were confused as to why the other vets didn’t. As that was what you were meant to do. The new vets were sympathetic and offered actual answers to our questions and understood the situation we were in. This vets completely ignored us and ignored protocol, denying my dying dog of necessary medication. We felt completely alone. Not only that, but they wasted precious time, time that my rapidly deteriorating dog did not have. In the time we spent with this vets we could’ve gotten my dog the necessary help he needed, we could’ve helped him, we could’ve gotten him on treatment much earlier. I completely blame this vets for the outcome of my dog passing. I believe if we went to that different vets in the first place my dog would still be alive. Obviously. Do not go to this vets, if you do, you will be disregarded, As though you and your animal do not matter. I’m so disappointed and angry.

My dog needed bilateral surgery as confirmed by my other vet . She got very sick on the medication she was given then after spending ££££s on x rays they didn't even do the operation she needed . I'm also under animal trust bolton for my dog i took her straight there when she got sick , correct meds given and a full diagnostic booked a week later she was a different dog fit and healthy for surgery last Friday. She was in overnight the staff have been fantastic updated me on her progress big shout out to Bran who is professional and supportive she is doing well so far and is back today for a wound check. She needs her other leg doing and I won't have any issues bringing her back here . I for one are very grateful to them . Thank you Bolton animal trust from Willow and Sandra 😃 xx

First Class Service as always and true compassion shown to my pug Rosie in her time of need. Visited Animal Trust in Bolton on the 02.05.25 after finding blood in my dog, Rosie’s urine. An operation was booked for the 07.05.25 and she was kept in overnight. I was updated twice on the day of her operation and woke to a lovely detailed message from the vet that had cared for Rosie through the night. Discharge was thorough and medication explained clearly. Follow up appointments attended. Staff I spoke to whist she was admitted, told me of cuddles with Rosie and had clearly spent time with her. From diagnosis to operation and aftercare, first class service was received. I have 3 dogs all registered with Animal Trust and have been a customer since they had their first tiny surgery on Castle Street, Bolton, many years ago. I have another elderly dog with epilepsy who needs regular visits, blood tests and medication and have always received fantastic customer service, from the lovely ladies on receptionist (who quickly sort out out my elder dogs medications). Expert advice and compassion from the vets and nurses. This more than makes up for the odd occasion, when my appointment has run over a little, which is the only gripe I can think of. A special “Thank You”, to the male vet I saw first, who quickly diagnosed the problem of stones in Rosie’s bladder, without the need of unnecessarily testing (and charging £60+) her urine. He could tell by looking at the sediment in her urine and feeling her bladder. He explained so clearly, the issue, the procedure, concerns, aftercare and life adjustments needed post op. I left the appointment feeling I had been fully informed and all questions answered. And lastly to the female nurse / vet who took Rosie from me when I dropped her off, on the morning of the operation. She picked Rosie up with care and a cuddle 🤗. Credit where credit is due. Animal trust Bolton are amazing! My pug Nora had BOAS surgery which is a very high risk procedure. The information I was given before hand and all the care that she received during and post op was faultless. She has recently been in with an eye ulcer. (Amongst other things) Again, the treatment and care she received was great and all healed in two weeks! The whole team are so professional and they really do care about the animals. I can’t stress enough how lucky we are to have this amazing surgery, thank you all

Our family and our beloved Dog, Cookie, ended up in a predicament. Whereby Cookie lost the use of her hind legs and ability to go to the toilet. To establish what was happening, Cookie needed a CT scan, which locally was going to cost £4000, the Animal Trust charged us £1500. This followed by a need to carry out Spinal Surgery, again £7000 locally, but the animal trust charged us £2059. This made her treatment accessible, Cookie was admitted for a week into the Hospital at Bolton and I cannot thank everyone single member of staff enough. They called us twice a day for provide updates. This trust is not about 'making money', it's about providing treatment and care needed to animals. We have our Cookie home and now in recovery. We need more Animal Trusts, please expand into the North East. THANK YOU, keep up the hard work, it's hugely appreciated.
