We will never go back here, miserable curly haired hipster vet tried to tell my wife our dog was aggressive. She is anything but, returned to pick her up from spaying.....she was covered in vomit all over her face and on the cone. Some of it had dried so it had been there for some time. That's not right at all.

Used to be really good but since they have put their prices up the wait times and service have become shocking. You arrive at your appointment time and still wait over an hour to be seen. People arriving after you being seen before you. Leaving your pet just stuck in a cage for an hour. No good enough. Whatever you changed, change back! Bookings are bookings. Don't arrange a time if you cannot do it!

This month was our cat's health check and the opportunity to talk with the excellent Dr Kevin about a few concerns we had. Kyro is not the easiest cat to examine! An ex feral and very feisty - but Kevin is amazingly kind, patient and gentle with Ky, and the health check went okay. Problems were detected with Ky - and the appropriate treatment was identified and administered, with clear instructions to us as to how to continue this at home. We have used Blacks in Dudley since we had Kyro back in 2020 and in our opinion they are outstanding in the care they afford to our cat. Special mention to Dr Kevin - he really is a very special Vet, and we feel 100% confident that he has Ky's best interests at heart when he has been dealing with Ky's health and well-being over the years. We certainly intend to stay with this Surgery for the long-term. Thank you to all the staff at the Surgery. Ky is so dramatic - he refused to pose for a post-treatment pic, chosing to cover his eyes and not look at the camera ... we've yet to tell him that Dr Kevin expects him to lose a kilo before his next visit ... 🙈

Blacks we're amazing with us. It's been 9 months since we lost our dear friend Ziggy but the way they helped us that day was incredible and has stayed with us. When the time came to say goodbye, we were taken to a lovely, non-clinical looking room with a sofa in and we were able to sit in comfort with her in our arms as she passed. It was night and day compared to our previous experiences of having to go through that in a normal treatment room and it made one of our saddest days easier to take. At the end we were shown out through a backdoor so we didn't have to go through the waiting room. This should be standard practice at every vets, wherever possible, but sadly, it's not. All the staff were so kind, considerate and understanding. It's not the cheapest practice but we wouldn't change a thing about how that day panned out and you don't get a second chance to do it right when it comes to the final act of kindness for your loved ones. A friend is sadly just about to loose his dog to old age and I've recommended Blacks Dudley to him as they are so considerate. A big thank you to all the staff that supported us that day and to the people who designed such a thoughtful place to say goodbye.

I cannot recommend Blacks Vets enough. All of the staff are so kind, caring and empathetic. They really care about your pets, all the receptionists, nurses and vets. Silky had to be admitted to the hospital and I was a wreck but everyone at Lye and Dudley were so kind both with me and Silky. They kept me updated whilst she was with them and explained everything to me in detail and made sure I understood. Silky was treated with so much care and love and was so well looked after. She’s now feeling so much better - thank you so much Blacks Vets!
