I was able to make a quick in person appointment as I live very close to the surgery. Upon arriving I was told by the Sasha, the receptionist that there’s was a delay as Vesi the vet was dealing with an emergency. I said that was fine. I must say some of the negative reviews on here I’ve never experienced and have been a customer at this practice for over 20 years This review is of my visit on 3/10/2025 for sum reason am not able to post a new review. I took my 15yo cat for a free mobility and pain check which Medivet were offering (I must say I appreciate Medivet offering these free check ups, it helps greatly in these cost of living crisis). She passed with flying colours, whilst there the vet asked how my cat was doing following her recently having to now take medication for her kidney issues, she was also weighed to see if she’d put on any weight. The vet also said he could give my cat her yearly vaccination which was due in October so I wouldn’t have to make another appointment. As usual we received excellent service from all the staff at the practice. I can’t praise them highly enough

I have a slightly difficult cat to treat, so I was really grateful for all of the team who were really caring kind and understanding. I am usually stressed when I have to go to the vet because I know that my cat can act up, but I came away from the appointment feeling confident and reassured that they still cared for her well-being, even though she can be naughty.

My wonderful dog of 16years we had to say goodbye to last week. Medivet Acton is outstanding. All the staff were wonderful, compassionate and kind to us. We have been attending this vet a very long time and I would without hesitation recommend it.

Love going there my Snow has started going in very frequently saying hello she get lots of treats and attention. They are all amazing and professional Dr’s and Nurses and they really take care of you and your pet. We love our VET

Deeply Frustrated and Upset with My Experience at this clinic I want to share my recent experience because I left this clinic feeling extremely disrespected, anxious, and angry. I went there to microchip my cat. It’s the closest vet to my home, and I had my 7-month-old baby with me — so just getting there was already a challenge. When I arrived, the front door was locked, and I could clearly see the receptionist (a man) talking to a customer inside. I rang the bell and waited outside for over 5 minutes in full view of the staff. Still, no one came to open the door. Eventually, the customer (not a staff member) came and kindly opened the door for me. I sat down and waited quietly, holding my baby and keeping my cat calm. I waited there for 40 minutes, and during that entire time, the receptionist was still speaking to the same customer — even continuing the conversation after it made the customer cry. I overheard the receptionist ask if she wanted a hug, which she declined. It was clear this wasn’t a quick conversation — but at no point did the receptionist acknowledge me, say hello, or even offer a moment of courtesy to someone visibly waiting with a baby and a pet. Eventually, another staff member came out and asked how she could help. I explained I was there to get my cat microchipped and asked if that was possible today. She said, “Yes, if it’s just a microchip,” and asked me to sit and wait again — which I did, for another 10 minutes. Finally, I approached the receptionist myself, only to be told I had to fill out an online form and that there were no appointments available until the 23rd of June— about 14 days from the day I walked in. I was shocked. Why was none of this communicated when I first walked in? I had been sitting there for over an hour, and the receptionist didn’t even acknowledge me or inform me there was no availability. This whole situation could have been avoided with the smallest amount of courtesy and communication. I left feeling totally dismissed and angry. It’s hard enough being a parent and pet owner — I expected a vet clinic to be more empathetic and professional, especially when I made the effort to come in person.
