I had a very traumatic experience with Medivet on the Abberville. I brought my golden retriever in for a regular check up, during which the vet managed to be so heavy handed in her manipulation that she tore my dogs crucial ligaments- resulting in her being unable to walk. This then meant I had to spend over 6k with another vet putting my dog through theatre and repairing the torn crucial ligaments. The vet obviously denied doing this. But I walked into the vets with a happy dog and walked out with a dog unable to walk. It was incredibly stressful and upsetting. I think if you have a dog with sensitive hips or legs do not go near this vet. The vet that fixed my dog was amazing, so gentle with her and she was able to diagnose her within minutes just from very gently touching her. There was absolutely no need for this level of manipulation.

If I could give negative ratings I would. Initially the very kind receptionist made me an appointment for a stray that I found and looked in bad shape. I asked around the neighborhood and someone claimed to feed him, there was no proof of ownership. I called to change my appointment and explained the situation - she (different receptionist) informed me that the vet refused to see a pet if he has an alleged owner. Even after I explained how poorly he looked. If you want a true vet who cares with compassion avoid this place. I am so thankful that I went to Streatham Hill instead - they verified that the pet was indeed a stray and was in SEVERE pain , they provided so much love and care for the poor animal in his final hours instead of dismissing an animal in need.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Medivet Clapham — their professionalism and genuine care for our dog consistently shines through. They are always responsive, accommodating both routine check-ups and urgent appointments with ease and compassion. It’s clear they truly love the animals they care for, and we feel very lucky to have them looking after our pup.

Our pets have been cared for by Medivet Clapham (Cuffe Vets) for over 30 years. The current team are amazing and Dr Guy was so kind when our 17 year old cat had to be put to sleep recently. A shout out for Dr Laura as well. Only comment is that it is expensive, but probably no more so than others owned by large chains.
