First time attending and the male vet (unsure of his name) was very nice, helpful and reassuring. They were better than my other vet in Addiscombe. Paxton had great customer service.

Excellent, very caring vets. The staff helped us when our cat got out of her carrier on the busy street on our way in, and successfully retrieved her from under our car, thankfully unharmed. Thank you so much!!

Our 19 month mini schnauzer recently went in to get spayed. However, the events that followed I wish for no pet owner to go through. Upon discharge, we were not fully explained the effects of the drug Metacam. 2 days after the operation our dog started projectile vomiting and the following day started having bloody stools. Firstly, they advised to give an anti nausea injection to help with the sickness and also to gain some appetite back and were also advised to stop using metacam & prescribed a new pain relief and also a stronger probiotic. Following this, I reached out to a number of schnauzer owners to see if a reaction to metacam like this is common. I received over 60+ comments with the same symptoms as to what our dog had, and some with far more worse symptoms leading to organ failure. Please note, at no point did no vets at this practice make us aware of side effects of this medication. Of course, I have reached to the manager of the vets, to which showed no remorse for what we had gone through with our pooch. Following a rather nasty phone call with GM to which I quote “dogs get sick!” from a supposed manager of a vet practice! I am writing this honest review, to make other pet owners aware of the experience we have gone through, as I wish for no one else to.

I highly recommend paxton vets gypsy hill iam a pensioner and vets can be extremely expensive But the good thing about this one they have a health plan for your animals at a cost of £20.00 a month this in includes all injections, flea treatment, worming and nails cut and this means i can have peace of mind knowing that my cat will be safe going out and not picking up anything

I found Paxton vets for my 2 bunny rabbits after moving from the USA to France to the UK. It is very hard to find experienced rabbit veterinarians (especially in a new country). But Paxton Vets treat them so well, with such gentle kindness and always listen intently to my concerns so I feel heard and understood. They are clearly knowledgeable with rabbits and I trust them. Whenever I have a question the vet herself gets back to me (same day) via email with the answers I need, suggestions, etc. It is clear customer and pet care are of top priority here at Paxton Vets (Gipsy Road) - many thanks!
