As soon as the vet seen my dog, Silvana's first words were, "She needs an eye operation" I asked the cost and was told between £1000 and £2000!!! Like I had that available!! She took a picture of my dogs eye. The nurse then took bloods and I was given 2 phials after the centrifuge as well as Exocin eye drops, Re mend and Gabapentin. I was told my dog was experiencing "Excruciating pain" I was charged £33 for Re Mend - online cost is £9.49 I was charged £17 for Exocin - online cost is £ 6.49 I was charged £23 for 20 Gabapentin - online £16.00 Penny has been her usual daft self all week, she has never at any point tried to itch her eye. Yes, she still has "gunky" eyes and I'm cleaning them with saline 3/4 times a day. If my dog was in such pain, please see the pictures attached ... And tell me I'm as bas a pet parent as I was made to feel. I've requested a copy of her prescription, and of course there will be a cost!

The staff here are great and care about the animals. However, the opening times? I need to get my cat booked in for her booster and more flea treatment for her but everytime I ring I can not get through for the life of me. I don't have a pet medics closer to me otherwise I'd book there. I'm not sure why the practice is only open 3 days a week? Walkden and Worsley are too far out for me to get to as a non driver. I might have to consider changing my vets unfortunately which is a shame as I really do rate the staff, they have taken great care of my cats.

Had to repost this review has my last one was taken down like I said in the last review. I implore you to not to use this vets in a emergency If you can find somewhere else please do so. I tuck my my dog here and before they ask for any details they wanted to know how much he was insured for. When they found out they kept him kept him in over night A when I asked what treatment he had received they Didn’t know he had a X-ray which shown a blockage which wasn’t acted upon. And the incoming vet didn’t no anything about the treatment given to him or even told anything in the hand over shift. There lack of action and totally incompetent I think was a contributing factor in the lose of my dog life. And a loving family member. So again I implore to think twice and do not take your pet here Only interested in the money they can make for you. And less about the care. I’d try to spare anyone what we had a family had to go though. They obviously don’t want anyone reading this has it was taken down in just 2 days Thanks for reading this mark. £76 for ear drops for my dog. Not sure if that's value for money. You make your own mind up. The guy who looked at my dog was pleasant enough. Surgery was empty & looked as though it could do with being refurbished. Probably be no more expensive than any other vets but they just play on your love for your pet.
