Maureen, Patrick and all the team here are just amazing - they saved my little dog Violet’s life after she was attacked by an XL bully dog on the Elizabeth Line. I wouldn’t want Violet to go anywhere else. I can’t thank them enough for the help they gave me after this terrible ordeal.

My cat needed surgery and they were great! She's healing nicely and the staff were all super friendly and timely,

What a great local practice! After poor experiences at a large chain it's a relief to find a local vet I feel full confidence in. Thank you Maureen & Team UPDATE - Second time I had to visit Hoxton Vet because my cat had an intestinal issue. She went from healthy to very sick and weak within 24 hours. The team at HV went beyond the call of duty following up regularly, even out of hours, to check on her progress and offer advice. Medical detail and treatment options were explained clearly and patiently so I felt confident about what to do. Very grateful for the exceptional care and knowledge of the team.

Took my dog Otto for a check up, the team were so friendly and inviting. They really acknowledged my dog and how nervous he was. They made him feel calm and loved. This is the first time I have ever seen his tail wag at the vet before. Thank you.

RIP Clementine (2021–2025) Please read before trusting this vet with your pet’s life. After my cat was attacked by a dog, I turned to this clinic expecting care and support. Instead, I watched her spiral—while the people I trusted to help stood by and did nothing. She died at just four years old. I believe if I had gone elsewhere, she’d still be alive. Spoiler alert: They never asked how she died. Never followed up. Never cared. As her behaviour worsened—met only with dismissive suggestions like pheromone diffusers and food changes—I eventually found her inside the washing machine, dead, after she’d consumed a large amount of dry beans. Trauma had clearly altered her behaviour. No one at this clinic took it seriously. This clinic presents well in emergencies, but long-term care exposes serious issues. Why I urge you to avoid this vet: -No empathy: They do not care about you or your pet. -Unethical billing: Took payment for services not delivered. Dodged calls for weeks. Refused refund. -Negligent care: Refused anxiety meds despite obvious post-attack distress. When her appetite changed, I was told to “just try new food” and given a post-it with brand names. -Manipulative responses: Cited suicide rates in their profession to deflect my complaint—utterly inappropriate and emotionally exploitative. -No accountability: No follow-up. No resolution. No responsibility. After Clementine died, I started reading other reviews and saw the pattern: glowing emergency care stories... followed by devastating one-star reviews from people whose pets needed real help. Mine was one of them. Read the Vet's responses to complaints to know what level of gaslighting you are in for. I was comfortable paying a premium because I believed Clementine would receive the best possible care. She didn’t. If your pet has complex needs, trauma, or simply deserves competent, compassionate care—go elsewhere. I wish I had. If this helps even one person avoid what I went through, Clementine’s story will have made a difference. Please like this/thumbs post if it has helped you to make an informed decision.
