My Woody loves going to see Marc and Julia and always gets so much love an attention . Although a little bit out of the way for me, it’s worth the distance. Fabulous care all round .and to top it off we always have a cheeky little walk on the beach at Rottingdean

I want to thank, Dr Julia and her wonderful team, for taking good care of Enzo whilst having a serious dental procedure. Further more, the aftercare and attention, to make sure he was making a good recovery.

I recently took my dog in for problems with her joints etc. we were consulted by the owner Julia. I can honestly say that in all the times I have attended veterinary surgeries I have never been made to feel more welcome. Julia was attentive, professional and above all caring for my dog. From the reception throughout the procedure and the ongoing treatment I can highly recommend the Mewes vets 100%.

Mewes robbed us of a peaceful, respectful ending to our beloved dog Iggys life when we paid for their vet Julia to come to our home to put him to sleep. After being unable to find Iggy’s vein and blaming his “tough staffie skin” (he was already heavily sedated from medication we had bought from the vets that was obviously the wrong dose as he couldn’t even stand unassisted his last day) she began an hour of heartbreaking incompetence and insensitivity that was and still is heartbreaking to the many that love us and loved Iggy. He never should have suffered that way, I’ve witnessed many pets end of life with vets and this was an utter nightmare of medical incompetence and personal insensitivity compounded by the Mewes response to our complaint which took no responsibility in any meaningful way at all. Please think twice before using this vet especially for end of life with your pet.

I brought my dog today to The Mewes Vets for a second opinion after being left really unsure and frustrated by a vague diagnosis from another clinic. Within minutes of meeting Marc Abraham, everything changed — and I finally felt like my dog was in the right hands. Marc immediately examined Kingsley thoroughly, including checking inside his mouth — something the previous vet didn’t even do. He confidently diagnosed a clear abscess and started treatment right away with antibiotics and pain relief. Kingsley is already more comfortable, and I’m so relieved to finally have a proper plan. Marc isn’t just a fantastic vet — he’s a legend in the animal world. I already knew of him through his incredible work campaigning for animal welfare and all the other wonderful campaigns he is standing for. Knowing that someone with his experience and compassion was looking after Kingsley gave me so much confidence. He’s not just knowledgeable — he genuinely cares, and it shows in every interaction. The nursing staff and receptionist were also very welcoming and kind, which felt perfect for a first time visit for me and my dog! I honestly can’t recommend The Mewes Vets enough. If you want a vet who knows their stuff and truly loves animals, this is where to go!
