I just wanted to give a massive thank you to Natasha for all her help and support. It was such a stressful day trying to get my little Frenchie booked in for BOAS surgery, and she really went above and beyond to make everything easier. I’m now actually looking forward to bringing him in next week, can’t wait to meet the team, and I’m so glad she made the whole process that much smoother.

Been with this practice since Nov 2021. Mainly for my big lad for the holistic vet care. This was our 3rd vet practice since adopting him from rescue (first 2 were local) these ladies LISTENED to me the owner, that’s 5* alone in my eyes and we travel from Ayrshire for that & my cat for the conventional vet care. Nothing but praise for all staff, incl. in their shop. Costs and pricing are upfront. Great place with everything pet wise in one place 👏

Firstly, the staff and vets are very nice. The reason the review isnt 5 stars is as follows: My dog swallowed a corn cob and the initial consultation gave an estimate of 1200-1600, unless surgery was required, which was fair enough. I then got a call from a different vet who explained surgery was required and the estimate was now £2400, again fine. Btw, I dont have insurance (just for context). Received a call from a nurse who said surgery had went well with no complications or problems - great! Arrived and before i got to see my dog, the receptionist said, "we will just clear up the bill first" and presented an invoice of £3300!! I questioned this and was taken in to see the original vet. She said the £2400 estimate WAS ON TOP of the initial cost, which was not explained in anyway and sounds like a load of rubbish to me. I told her i wasn't happy about this and asked for an intemised bill. She went away and left me in the consultation room myself for 25 mins (still hadn't seen my dog btw) and then came back to say there had been a mixup with the bill and that I had accidentally been charged twice for certain medications! The explanation was that the vets were new to the surgery and werent used to the billing system. The final bill was reduced to £2900, but still a far cry away from, "the estimate". By this point, I just wanted to get my poor dog home and forgot about the itemised bill, which i didnt receive. Again, just to reiterate, the staff were really nice, the vets were great and my dog has recovered well. I just think the discrepancy in the bill, as well as not bringin my dog to me before the bill was paid was quite poor from a customer perspective. When you combine this with recent reports of vets overcharging, its no wonder people have a distrust of vets in general. If i hadnt queried the bill then, by their own admission, i wouldve been charged twice for certain things.
