I have always had a good experience here however I had an appointment with the vet STEVE and this was my first bad experience. I see there has also recently been another bad review about Steve too. All the vets here are nice however Steve spoke to me in a very condescending and undermining manner, making me feel like I’m stupid for bringing my kitten into the vet after noticing some unusual signs. I reported him to the vet surgery and they did not acknowledge my complaint for several weeks especially after I chased them up 3 times. I am still waiting for them to acknowledge my complaint. I am very concerned at their lack of acknowledgment and accountability for their staff’s poor treatment. AVOID STEVE.

I have 13 cats and have neutered every single one of them, but this experience was the worst I’ve ever had. Steve was extremely rude to us and treated my cat aggressively, even pinching them. He sat on his chair the whole time, rolling his eyes, giving dirty looks, and even made us take the cat out of the basket — something vets usually do. We were already worried as my cat was going in for surgery, and instead of reassuring us, he made us feel worse. If this is how he behaves in front of owners, I dread to think how he handles animals behind closed doors. I’m very disappointed and believe this needs to be properly looked into.

i had taken my dog in to get a behavioural euthanasia (hardest thing ive ever had to do) after he had killed my daughters beloved cat. it was terrifying and the whole family had witnessed this as 4 grown men spent 3 minutes (genuinely felt like hours) trying to get him away from her and after that we couldn’t have him in the home as i have young children and will not put their safety at risk - she’s come in obviously very hysterical due to the circumstances and after explaining this all to the vet he told us “well dogs kill cats, what did you expect”. most disrespectful and honestly heartless thing anyone could have said in that moment. i would not recommend them to anyone i am so heartbroken about everything that happened and then the treatment there was horrendous

I feel like in times of heartbreak some vets here need to be abit more compassionate and sympathetic. Last Thursday was one of the worst days of my life as my beautiful girl of 13 and 1/2 years sadly needed to be rushed here and we had to devastatingly say goodbye! She had been being treated for over 2 years under a different vet who sadly had let her down time and again refusing to do much for her due to her age. Financially I was unable to take her else where so spent that time doing my absolute best for her whilst having to put my trust in the vets she was under! And she was thriving until her final week where she suddenly started to deteriorate and struggled to eat or drink ;-( I genuinely felt like the vet was judging me, I was in a highly emotional state worried sick about my girl, devastated knowing I would have to say goodbye to my soul dog and I just found her whole demeanour so cold! She didn’t ask me for any medical history or even if she was having any treatment etc anywhere else for any conditions (which she was), I felt like I had to spend my time trying to tell her this whilst she stood coldly like I’d done something wrong, which I hadn’t. Please do better in these situations! A bit of compassion goes a long way. I lost my soul dog and best friend and will forever be broken!

Service was amazing! It was my first time taking a pet to the vet (my first cat) and I was feeling really nervous. The staff were so understanding and eased my concerns. The operation went really well and I can only thank the entire Vets team, from front desk to surgeon. Madame says Meow, as well!
