Avoid this practice.
I’ve been using Vets for Pets Trafford Park for some time, and while the reception staff continue to be kind and considerate, the overall service has deteriorated significantly.
The practice currently has just one vet, which clearly isn’t enough to manage the workload. On several occasions, repeat prescriptions for my dog’s seizure medication haven’t been processed in time. Most recently, I was forced to get the medication from Boots because — despite ordering it nearly a week earlier — “the vet didn’t have time to sign it off.”
There is also a new practice manager who, in my experience, appears to be out of her depth. Since her appointment, I’ve received multiple incorrect payment requests for invoices that had already been settled. I even had a meeting where it was confirmed I owed nothing — only to be told afterwards that I did. Fortunately, I had recorded the meeting which proved otherwise.
When I asked to stop receiving these messages, as they were causing me significant stress, and requested phone contact only, I was met with a voicemail accusing me of being aggressive and advising me to find a new vet.
It’s unfortunate, but this experience has highlighted a wider issue — when veterinary practices are no longer owned or run by vets, the focus seems to shift from care to profit. The systems at this practice are in disarray, and it’s having a real impact on both pets and owners.
