This Independent Vets Practice is the best that Vets can deliver, Owned by the practising vets themselves. It was a joy for me to discover that THEY TREAT BIRDS . I took my 9 year old Budgie there, and have only the Highest praise on every aspect of my experience with "Vets on the common," right from the first phone call, it was 100% professionalism and knowledge wrapped in a genuine care for animals, compassionate, kind, they have time for the Pet's Owner as well as the Pets. I thank all the friendly and welcoming staff and Ellie the perfect Vet we saw, Oh that I'd found this Practice sooner, they are a rare breed, quality service at very reasonable prices. Nice people all of them!!!

Vets on the Common are the most incredible, impressive and independent company – not part of a faceless corporate group. And this shines through with their remarkable, long-standing team of people. Victoria and Nadia are warm, friendly, ultra-efficient and genuinely lovely. And Dr Michael with his passion for an animal’s welfare, always handles difficult news so sensitively and patiently. The kindness and compassion that everyone in the practice shows is outstanding. They thoughtfully place a notice in reception for when an owner’s saying goodbye to their pet, light a candle in the consultation room and then send a condolence card thereafter. Thank you for being so kind to my son and for the care of his beloved pets. Your website says you offer an unrivalled level of veterinary care. And you do.

We’ve been with Vets on the Common for a few years, and our Toy Poodle, Basil, has been in for a couple of surgeries and the team have been absolutely wonderful. Basil has never been a fan of his doctors visits, and the teams are gentle, calm, and consider your pet’s happiness as well as their physical health. We’ve had such unfortunate experiences with vets in the past that are impatient and resort to harsh physical restraint, but the team at Vets on the Common are the pinnacle of caring and genuinely animal-loving professionals. From the reception team, to the nurses, to the vets, everyone is kind and compassionate. We’ve moved out of area, so unfortunately have had to move to a different vets, but would highly recommend Vets on the Common to take care of your furry friends. Dr Michael is amazing, clearly has fostered an amazing group of specialists, and has made our experience as positive as possible. We know that they’ll always welcome us back if we need their help, which I’m so grateful for. Thank you Vets on the Common :)

Thanks Dr. Vici and the entire team! My guinea pig overate and had digestive issues. After the check-up and medication, Zhuzhu recovered within a week. Thankfully he doesn't have bladder stones. As a first-time pet owner, I was extremely worried, but all the staff were incredibly friendly and reassured me during my anxiety. The pricing was reasonable, and I’ll definitely choose this vet again when I get a kitten!

We signed up for Vets on the Common at the start of 2024 after spending years trying to find the right veterinary practice for Zeus. Over his 14 & ½ years we’ve struggled to find a practice whose methods are ethical and the ‘go to’ isn’t to heavily restrain him with multiple nurses, try to muzzle him, pin him to a wall, force him in to situations he’s scared of and brush it off like the above is normal. I reiterated on our first visit how awful his experiences have been and how many vets we’ve had to leave because of their love of forceful restraint, I was reassured that’s not something they believe in and that ‘less is more’ is the best approach. So far, they have stuck to their word and have been amazing! Normally he’s scrambling for the exit, climbing the walls in fear of what’s going to happen but he’s been nothing but calm and receptive of the vets who have treated him. After two visits nearly a year apart requiring anaesthesia, he has returned happy, comfortable, willingly engaged and taken treats from the vets he’s seen, which means he hasn’t been forced, pinned or made to fear the vets here. A special commendation to Dr Liam McArdle who has seen Zeus most recently for some lump removals and been nothing but amazing with him. Thank you Vets on the Common for being true to your word and looking after my most treasured boy.
