We were with Goddard in Wanstead for a few years. For the most part, they were super helpful. Whilst not everything was great (mostly issues with particular reception staff), we required a lot of regular contact with the veterinary team who were fantastic; I cannot thank them enough for the time and resources they provided to both myself and my cat. Whilst they are not perfect, from my experience having been registered at multiple practices, they are by far the best vets in the area.

Our Amy just recently had to undergo knee surgery. Vet John Gardner did the op , he did a great job and kept us updated on Amy's progress. Nursing staff we saw were very nice. When we had to go back for check up and another x ray, Amy showed no sign of being worried which shows how well she was treated.

The night team was fantastic with my dog. I truly cannot fault them! Attentive and caring. It was a busy night and one vet available but they kept us informed on waiting time and at the end it wasn’t as bad as originally we thought. The vet was one of the nicest doctors I had for my dog - again kept him informed during and after the procedure. Thank you for looking after my little one in such a good way!

You literally saved our dog's life. THANK YOU. We're so impressed by the level of professionalism and care from the vets, nurses and reception staff at the hospital, even when they had so many other acute cases going on at the same time. Our dog, Custard, spent three nights with canula/drip and tube feeding and 24/7 nurse/vet monitoring - and we had regular calls from the duty vet with updates on progress. We felt so lucky to have come here as we're sure that many other places would not have had the staff and equipment to deal with this, and we would have lost our lovely dog - who is now back to full health and having a fun life. Any pet owner should have complete confidence coming here. And - remember, like in any other medical situation, to be kind and patient to staff dealing with stressful situations. Huge thank you for bringing our dog back from the brink and all your fantastic care.

Recently took our cat here out of hours as our normal vets were closed, unfortunately we did not have the best experience. Our cat was not eating, drinking and had no energy, and so we rushed him to the vets to see what was happening. We were seen to quite quickly however the actual consultation was very poor. We left feeling robbed. Not sure how this place can justify charging £250 for a consultation when the vet was too scared to touch the cat. Without even examining him, the vet automatically suggested that he may have a blocked urinary tract ( based on picking out 2 of the symptoms we listed ). We mentioned his other symptoms but we were dismissed. Everything the vet had said was based on assumptions, and she was not able to give us any other insight into what was going on with him without needing to sedate him and conduct blood tests ( an additional £400+ ). Upon hearing this, we decided to take him home, we were met with what felt like judgment, and her whole demeanour changed. She then said “well you are still going to have to pay for the consultation”. We left £250 down with no answers. We visited our normal vets when they were open the next morning (best friends, vet group) where we had a much more positive experience. The vet was confident in handling the cat, and took control. Our cat is much better now and we are very glad we did not listen to the advice of the vet at Goddard. This place feels like they just want your money, by telling you the worse case scenarios - leaving you feeling like you have no choice but to pay extortionate costs. Please avoid if you can and trust your gut instincts.
